Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, development, and deployment of complex frontend and full-stack Page Builder capabilities.
- Drive technical strategy and roadmaps for scalable authoring pipelines, component libraries, CMS architecture, and high-performance rendering engines.
- Research and integrate generative AI services, pipelines, and engineering tools into software development workflows.
- Architect resilient, accessible, performant web systems, including Core Web Vitals optimization, caching, CDN configuration, and global rendering infrastructure.
- Own the full engineering lifecycle, including technical specifications, test strategies, production monitoring, and resolution of scalability and reliability issues.
- Partner with Product Managers, UX Designers, AI Platform Engineers, Principal Engineers, and other cross-functional teams.
- Establish code review, design review, automated testing, and CI/CD practices while mentoring MTS and SMTS engineers.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software development experience focused on large-scale frontend and full-stack web applications.
- Deep expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3/Sass/Tailwind, and modern frontend frameworks, preferably React.
- Extensive Node.js experience and experience building scalable backend or Backend-for-Frontend architectures.
- Experience architecting and integrating enterprise CMS platforms, particularly WordPress and/or Contentful, with dynamic frontend rendering pipelines.
- Experience with public cloud platforms, preferably AWS, distributed frontend services, CDN edge caching, and build pipelines.
- Deep knowledge of RESTful and GraphQL API design, web security practices, and enterprise-scale state management.
- Advanced knowledge of testing methodologies and frameworks including Jest, Cucumber, Selenium, and Cypress, plus modern deployment and monitoring practices.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical initiatives, influence cross-functional roadmaps, troubleshoot production issues, and mentor engineers.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related STEM field.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with generative AI or LLM tools, internationalization and localization, enterprise design systems, WordPress enterprise architectures, PHP, custom plugin or theme pipelines, and WCAG-compliant interfaces.
