Base Salary

$260k - $310k/yr

Responsibilities

Define and own the platform’s technical architecture, including multimodal APIs, real-time event systems, AI orchestration layers, and data infrastructure
Lead cross-functional technical initiatives by turning ambiguous product bets into engineering roadmaps and resolving systemic risks
Architect scalable production-grade agentic AI and conversational AI systems, including LLM integration layers, retrieval pipelines, tool-use orchestration, and evaluation frameworks
Establish service contracts, data models, deployment patterns, observability practices, and reliability targets for engineering scale
Connect product vision with engineering execution and drive architecture into shipped systems
Embed AI-native development using Claude Code and Cursor into engineering practices
Mentor and elevate senior engineers
Write code, review systems, and make technical decisions affecting the company

8+ years of software engineering experience, including several years setting technical direction
A demonstrated record of architectural wins involving scalable, production-grade systems
Expert proficiency in TypeScript and Python and strong JavaScript skills for full-stack contributions
Deep expertise in distributed systems, event-driven architectures, cloud-native infrastructure, multi-tenancy, and horizontal scale
Strong understanding of LLM-based systems, including context management, tool-use patterns, latency and cost trade-offs, evaluation strategy, and agentic AI architecture
Required BS or BA in Computer Science
MS or PhD in Computer Science, AI, or a related field is a meaningful plus
Bonus experience with production conversational AI, voice AI, real-time NLP pipelines, fintech, payments, core banking, financial data infrastructure, or early-stage startups
Published work, open-source contributions, or recognized technical writing in AI systems or platform engineering is a bonus
