Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design and implement test automation frameworks for microservices-based platform components.
- Build reusable test libraries and utilities for L-CAP test infrastructure.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and establish continuous quality gates.
- Conduct performance, integration, API, distributed-service, and operational scenario testing.
- Develop test plans and strategies aligned with sprint and program increment objectives.
- Analyze defect patterns, test metrics, quality trends, and root causes.
- Collaborate with development and systems engineering teams on testability and quality requirements.
- Support test environment configuration and test data management.
- Develop validation frameworks for inter-service communication, data flow, performance, and legacy-to-modern functional equivalence.
- Mentor junior test engineers on automation practices and testing methodologies.
- Adopt AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering practices to improve productivity, code quality, and delivery velocity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline with 8+ years of experience, or a master’s degree with 6+ years of experience; additional experience, education, and training may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Strong experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit, or pytest and Java or JavaScript test development.
- Expertise integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
- Extensive performance, integration, and API testing experience for distributed systems using tools such as JMeter or Gatling.
- Knowledge of distributed service testing, service virtualization, contract testing, chaos engineering, and data-driven test automation.
- Experience with operational scenario testing, behavioral validation, root cause analysis, and defect investigation.
- Familiarity with Agile/SAFe testing, quality engineering, test management, and defect tracking tools.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust and successfully complete government-required background investigations.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Preferred qualifications include Python proficiency, microservices and event-driven architecture testing, Docker and Kubernetes, REST Assured, Postman/Newman, security testing, aviation or defense testing, TDD/BDD, AI-assisted development tools, and legacy-to-modern migration testing.
