Base Salary
$159k - $229k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of APIs and microservices supporting the Firewire stack.
- Design and oversee large-scale, scalable software systems and establish architectural principles, coding standards, and design patterns.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and engineering teams to define requirements and deliver technical designs.
- Drive code reviews, mentoring, testing, CI/CD, observability, monitoring, and alerting practices.
- Lead incident response, root-cause analysis, reliability improvements, and compliance with SLA standards.
- Set long-term technical strategy for the BaaS platform and document architectural decisions and alternatives.
- Refactor and extend the codebase, manage software development projects, and troubleshoot complex issues.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, create prototypes or proofs of concept, and support an AI-driven software development lifecycle.
Requirements
- At least 9 years of hands-on software engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a technical leadership role.
- Strong experience developing secure and standards-compliant software across multiple platforms.
- Advanced experience with several of C#, .NET, and SQL, plus hands-on cloud experience with Azure services including APIM, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, and Key Vault.
- Experience with container technologies, caching frameworks, RESTful API design, OAuth2, OpenAPI, event-driven architectures, Service Bus, Event Hubs, and microservices.
- Hands-on experience with observability dashboards and platforms such as Datadog and Grafana.
- Deep knowledge of Git, DevOps, Agile Scrum, security best practices, PCI DSS, and SOC 2 compliance standards.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues, work independently, mentor others, collaborate effectively, and operate in a fast-paced environment.
- Preferred qualifications include fintech or embedded finance experience, partner API and SLA integration experience, and open-source or technical publication contributions.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship and meet the West Los Angeles location requirement.

- Targeted base salary of $159,400 to $229,300 per year.
