Base Salary
$200k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and evolve resilient, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure using cloud-native tools, preferably AWS.
- Develop CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code systems using Terraform, GitHub Actions, Docker, and related tools.
- Implement alerting, logging, and tracing systems to improve diagnosis and issue resolution.
- Partner with platform and engineering teams to prioritize infrastructure work and improve how services are built, tested, deployed, and operated.
- Contribute to IAM design, least-privilege access, cloud security, and posture management.
- Investigate infrastructure, database, data warehouse, queue, and application performance and cost bottlenecks using telemetry, profiling, and load testing.
- Mentor engineers on infrastructure design, cloud efficiency, and secure deployment practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as an Infrastructure, DevOps, or Backend Engineer.
- Extensive experience with Terraform and reusable infrastructure-as-code patterns.
- Deep knowledge of AWS services including ECS, EC2, Lambda, CloudWatch, IAM, Kafka, SNS, and SQS, plus Terraform and CloudFormation automation.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and orchestration systems such as ECS or EKS.
- Proficiency in JavaScript or Python and familiarity with scripting for automation.
- Strong understanding of cloud security, identity and access management, cost optimization, networking, observability, and system reliability.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across diverse engineering teams.
- Experience with multi-region or distributed cloud systems, cloud posture management, open-source infrastructure tools, mentoring, or reliability initiatives is preferred.
