Responsibilities
- Engineer scalable, robust software for networking devices and managed networks.
- Design and implement software for stores management systems and payload subsystems.
- Architect and implement software APIs and Interface Control Documents using HTTP, REST, and gRPC.
- Build and optimize low-level data transport over UDP and TCP.
- Write code that interfaces with hardware, including embedded devices and sensors.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software into physical platforms.
- Travel up to 25% for testing and deploying systems in operational environments.
- Contribute to the entire software lifecycle from prototyping to deployment.
- Analyze and resolve issues in deployed systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience developing production-grade software in C++ and/or Rust.
- Experience with networking software and common router or switch hardware.
- Proficiency in designing and implementing software APIs and ICDs.
- Solid understanding of low-level data transport layers, including UDP and TCP.
- Experience interfacing with hardware, including embedded devices and sensors.
- Ability to navigate complex systems and established codebases.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% for testing and deployment.
- Experience working with international suppliers and customers in the EMEA region.
- Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.
