Base Salary
$60k - $95k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and modify embedded firmware for the Nordic nRF54L Series platform.
- Implement firmware updates for hardware features, including GPIO and peripheral configuration changes.
- Integrate rapid GNSS location determination capabilities into embedded products.
- Support firmware integration, testing, and validation for RF and cryptography firmware.
- Participate in hardware bring-up, debugging, prototype testing, and integration testing.
- Assist with the team’s CI/CD pipeline for embedded firmware builds and testing.
- Resolve issues across hardware and software components and document firmware changes and testing procedures.
- Collaborate with hardware, firmware, systems, and cybersecurity engineers and participate in design reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM field.
- 0–2 years of experience in embedded software or firmware development; internships and co-op experience are welcomed.
- Experience programming in C/C++.
- Basic understanding of embedded microcontrollers and GPIO, SPI, UART, and I2C interfaces.
- Familiarity with embedded debugging tools, development environments, and Git.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
- Preferred: experience with Nordic Semiconductor microcontrollers or ARM Cortex-M platforms, RTOS-based embedded development, GNSS or wireless communications, automated build systems, CI/CD tools, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or embedded/IoT academic projects.
- An active Secret security clearance is preferred.
