Responsibilities
- Engineer, configure and continuously improve SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, Exchange Online, Outlook, OneDrive, Microsoft 365 Groups and related administration services.
- Deliver Microsoft 365 platform features, tenant configurations, policies, integrations, migrations, content lifecycle controls and legacy-service decommissioning.
- Automate provisioning, configuration, reporting and remediation using PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, PnP PowerShell, Azure Automation and approved APIs.
- Develop or support SharePoint Framework extensions, Teams applications, adaptive cards, webhooks and integrations.
- Maintain source control, peer review, testing, deployment pipelines, environment separation and engineering documentation.
- Implement Microsoft Entra ID, privileged administration, external sharing, guest access, app consent, information protection, retention and eDiscovery controls.
- Apply Microsoft Purview governance capabilities and manage technical debt, roadmap dependencies, service changes, end-of-support risks and remediation plans.
- Monitor Microsoft 365 service health, usage, capacity, performance and operational risks; troubleshoot incidents, perform root-cause analysis and implement permanent fixes.
- Work with product owners, service teams, security teams, suppliers and business stakeholders to shape requirements and communicate change.
Requirements
- Hands-on engineering or administration experience with SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, Exchange Online or Outlook, and OneDrive in a large Microsoft 365 environment.
- Strong PowerShell capability, including Microsoft Graph PowerShell and service-specific modules, with experience automating administrative and reporting tasks.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Graph, REST APIs, authentication, app registrations, permissions, certificates and managed-identity-based automation.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 tenant configuration, administration centres, service health, change management and operational support.
- Understanding of Microsoft Entra ID, role-based access, Conditional Access, privileged access and collaboration security.
- Experience with SharePoint architecture, site and hub design, permissions, content types, search, migration and lifecycle governance.
- Ability to diagnose service issues using logs, audit data, message traces, Microsoft 365 service information and structured problem-management practices.
- Experience with Git, code review, testing and CI/CD through Azure DevOps or GitHub.
- Desirable experience includes SharePoint Framework, TypeScript, React, Teams app development, Adaptive Cards, Azure Functions, Microsoft Purview, migration tools, Microsoft Intune, Power Platform, Copilot for Microsoft 365 or Copilot Studio.
- Microsoft certifications such as MS-102, MS-700, MS-721, SC-300 or SC-400, or equivalent practical capability, are desirable.
- Experience with service ownership, platform governance and lifecycle management in a complex enterprise is desirable.
