Responsibilities
- Design, build, integrate, and ship secure, scalable authentication solutions for human and non-human identities, including bots, service accounts, applications, and agentic systems.
- Implement and harden OIDC/OAuth2, SAML, SSO, FIDO2/WebAuthn, PKI, API authentication, and Unix/Linux authentication.
- Integrate and customize Entra ID, Ping Identity, SailPoint, CyberArk, HashiCorp Vault, HSMs, IDM/LDAP, and RCBI across cloud and hybrid environments.
- Operate and evolve large-scale IAM environments with HA/DR, performance tuning, Terraform infrastructure as code, configuration management, CI/CD, observability, and safe deployment strategies.
- Collaborate across product and platform teams, participate in on-call operations, lead root-cause analyses, and drive operational excellence.
- Translate complex architecture into epics, stories, runbooks, pipelines, ADRs, standards, and audit-ready documentation.
Requirements
- 12+ years of cybersecurity engineering experience with hands-on principal-level engineering experience, including coding, configuration, integration, and production delivery.
- Deep enterprise authentication expertise across OIDC/OAuth2, SAML, SSO, FIDO2/WebAuthn, PKI, mTLS, certificate lifecycle management, API authentication, JWT, and Unix/Linux authentication.
- Experience with HashiCorp Vault, HSMs, CyberArk, SailPoint, Entra ID, Ping Identity, IDM/LDAP, and RCBI, including policy design, integration, automation, and migrations.
- Experience operating IAM and authentication services in large, globally distributed environments with multi-region HA/DR, performance tuning, Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, CI/CD, and observability.
- Strong Shell skills plus Python or Go experience.
- Knowledge of threat modeling, least privilege, PAM, secrets management, policy-as-code, and auditability for human and non-human identities.
- Ability to customize and integrate vendor products and open standards into cohesive, documented solutions and APIs.
- Experience navigating large institutions, influencing roadmaps, and driving adoption of security controls and best practices.
