Responsibilities
- Translate product requirements into discrete, testable tasks.
- Participate intelligently in code reviews across ongoing team work.
- Develop code and complete tasks alongside AI tools.
- Question and improve engineering processes with a critical perspective.
- Advocate for code and test quality by identifying unclear or unsound implementations.
- Build and improve shared tools and processes collaboratively.
- Investigate production systems or data in response to internal or customer questions.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of relevant and related work experience.
- Professional experience with functional programming languages such as Elixir, Erlang, Scala, or F#, or modern statically typed languages such as Rust, Go, or Zig, developing web applications.
- Experience with PostgreSQL profiling and optimization in production environments.
- Comfort working across CSS/JavaScript, backend code, and occasional DevOps and monitoring tasks.
- Familiarity with self-directed Agentic Development.
- Preferred: Elixir/Phoenix LiveView experience, familiarity with accessibility standards and tooling, and knowledge of budgeting and accounting terminology and principles.
