Base Salary
$101k - $134k/yr
Responsibilities
- Ship features in UNION and internal operational applications across the full stack.
- Build TypeScript, React, and Next.js browser experiences.
- Develop Python services running on Kubernetes.
- Write queries and data models, including SQL joins and aggregations against relational databases.
- Build or integrate HTTP APIs and AI-facing features such as natural-language interfaces, tool calling, retrieval, and agents.
- Own scoped work through production, including automated tests and post-release fixes.
- Work directly with internal users and collaborate with a senior engineer responsible for the broader area.
Requirements
- At least 2 years building production software, or equivalent depth from internships and substantial projects.
- Working proficiency in a backend language, preferably Python, and in JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Experience building web frontends with a modern framework such as React or Next.js.
- Experience building or consuming HTTP APIs in a production system.
- Working SQL experience, including joins and aggregations against a relational database.
- Some exposure to AI and LLM development, including prompting, retrieval, tool calling, or agents.
- Familiarity with version control, code review, automated testing, and CI/CD.
- Preferred: experience with Docker, Helm, or Kubernetes; Spark, StarRocks, Snowflake, or BigQuery; AI-native features; or dependable internal tools.
