Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize prompts and applications powered by foundation models and large language models.
- Architect and implement generative agent systems using multi-model coordination frameworks.
- Develop application and component strategies spanning user experience and backend systems.
- Define, evaluate, and optimize AI system architectures.
- Conduct code reviews, guide technical improvements, and resolve engineering issues.
- Build and maintain scalable machine learning infrastructure, distributed training pipelines, and API and tool integrations.
- Evaluate AI systems for robustness, safety, fairness, and hallucination risks.
- Collaborate with business leaders, engineers, architects, designers, and other cross-functional partners.
- Troubleshoot issues during testing and in production environments.
- Document technical architecture, methodologies, and innovations.
- Travel as needed, ranging from 0% to 100% based on business and client requirements.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience designing and building resilient AI systems or products, including guardrails, context engineering, evaluations, continuous integration and delivery, tracing, logging, and unit testing.
- At least 3 years of experience designing AI solutions using retrieval-augmented generation and handling data pipelines.
- At least 3 years of engineering-team experience with one or more programming languages and frameworks, plus expertise in AI frameworks such as Autogen, LangGraph, or Semantic Kernel.
- At least 3 years of experience with application services on at least one public cloud, including AI and generative AI services such as AWS, GCP, Azure, or Anthropic offerings.
- At least 2 years of experience in AI engineering, including fine-tuning, prompt engineering, token and latency optimization, and performance optimization.
- At least 1 year of experience leading a team or participating in team management, preferably in AI-driven projects.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with the posting also specifying 12 years of work experience as an alternative or 6 years with an associate's degree.
- Preferred experience includes training and fine-tuning large language and multimodal foundation models, self-supervised and transfer learning, AI solution cost and ROI analysis, Model Context Protocol, Agent to Agent protocols, mobile and web applications, and agentic AI systems.
