Responsibilities
- Lead the full development lifecycle for complex motor vehicle record features, from ideation and technical design through implementation, release, and operation.
- Define technical direction and architectural improvements for reliable, scalable MVR systems.
- Design, build, and maintain high-performance backend services with strong data accuracy, security, and compliance standards.
- Integrate external data providers and build resilient pipelines for inconsistent, delayed, or incomplete data.
- Identify systemic risks, lead incident response and root-cause analysis, and implement durable fixes.
- Partner with Data Supply Chain, Supply Chain Operations, Product, and Operations on scalable technical solutions.
- Mentor engineers and improve code quality, design reviews, and engineering practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building scalable backend systems.
- Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language and deep understanding of relational databases, ORMs, and RESTful APIs.
- Experience designing and maintaining reliable distributed systems, including microservices, CI/CD, and asynchronous or event-driven architectures.
- Experience integrating external data providers or third-party APIs and building accurate, resilient data pipelines.
- Ability to reason about end-to-end platforms, evaluate architectural trade-offs, and communicate technical decisions clearly.
- Strong ownership, bias for action, resilience through ambiguity, and effective collaboration with technical and non-technical partners.
