Base Salary

$138k - $185k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, high-quality production software solutions.
  • Build and maintain Java and Spring-based microservices and enterprise applications.
  • Produce architecture and design artifacts and ensure implementation meets design constraints.
  • Use data analysis, visualization, and reporting to identify patterns and improve software applications, coding hygiene, and system architecture.
  • Use authorized AI-assisted development and automation tools for coding, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation while validating their outputs.
  • Apply software development lifecycle tools and contribute reusable patterns and guidance for safe, effective engineering workflows.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
  • Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, debugging, maintenance, and operational stability.
  • Experience developing in a large corporate environment using modern programming languages and database query languages.
  • Experience designing and developing microservices with Java, Spring Boot, and other Spring Framework components.
  • Experience designing and developing in AWS cloud environments, including AWS EKS or EC2.
  • Experience designing enterprise applications with relational databases such as Oracle or PostgreSQL.
  • Hands-on experience with authorized AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to evaluate, validate, and refine generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
  • Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations, with the ability to guide peers.
  • Experience with software development tools such as Git, Bitbucket, and Jira.
  • Exposure to agile development workflows and tools such as Jules and Maven.
  • Familiarity with modern front-end technologies and additional cloud technologies is preferred.
