Base Salary
$140k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Ship full-stack AI features and agentic systems from scoping through deployment.
- Own 0-to-1 projects in collaboration with sales, operations, product, and other stakeholders.
- Build and improve infrastructure for production inference, evaluation, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
- Integrate AI capabilities into Baton’s marketplace through clean product interfaces.
- Develop scalable systems for intelligent matching, document understanding, and agentic workflows.
Requirements
- Experience shipping and owning production AI systems end-to-end with real users, measurable outcomes, and operational responsibility.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, excellent Python skills, and experience integrating foundation models in production.
- Demonstrated ability to take ambiguous problems from concept to production and deliver measurable impact.
- Strong product judgment and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions independently.
- Preferred experience with agentic systems, tool use, planning, human-in-the-loop workflows, and modern AI frameworks.
- Preferred experience designing offline and online LLM evaluation suites, including rubric-based and model-graded evaluations.
- Preferred experience operating LLM systems at scale, including latency, cost, caching, fallbacks, rate limits, and reliability.
- Preferred familiarity with retrieval quality, chunking, reranking, query rewriting, and relevance tuning.
- Preferred familiarity with Go, GraphQL, React/TypeScript, NLP, information retrieval, recommendation systems, or marketplace and fintech domains.
