Responsibilities
- Lead or drive migration of legacy SAS data preparation jobs to Python-based data engineering frameworks.
- Analyze SAS scripts, data feeds, workflows, logic, and dependencies.
- Translate and re-engineer SAS jobs into scalable Python data pipelines.
- Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and engineers to validate and test converted workflows.
- Optimize Python workflows and ensure data quality and consistency.
- Integrate pipelines with Google Cloud Platform and support testing, validation, and production deployment.
- Document migration processes, coding standards, and pipeline configurations.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in Python programming.
- Deep experience with Python and Google Cloud Platform.
- Hands-on experience with Pandas, data frames, and SQL on GCP.
- Strong knowledge of data transformation workflows, database systems, and ETL best practices.
- Experience with modern Python frameworks and libraries.
- Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
- 15 years of full-time education required.
