Responsibilities
- Create test plans and detailed test scripts from functional and technical requirements.
- Perform unit, functional, integration, system, regression, user acceptance, backend, database, ETL, and data validation testing.
- Develop, maintain, and validate SQL scripts, stored procedures, functions, views, triggers, reports, data extracts, and database objects.
- Design, execute, and validate ETL processes, data workflows, transformations, mappings, and source-to-target reconciliations.
- Conduct data quality analysis, report verification, defect tracking, defect triage, root cause analysis, and resolution verification.
- Monitor and troubleshoot SQL jobs, batch processes, applications, databases, ETL workflows, and production releases.
- Collaborate with developers, QA professionals, DBAs, business analysts, and stakeholders on requirements, solution design, quality metrics, deployments, and production verification.
- Improve testing practices, test coverage, automation opportunities, and overall solution quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2–4 years of experience validating data-centric applications.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server and complex SQL query development.
- Experience developing and testing stored procedures, functions, views, triggers, database jobs, ETL processes, and data integration solutions.
- Understanding of database design, data validation, data quality, data transformations, mappings, source-to-target reconciliation, reporting validation, SDLC, STLC, Agile methodologies, and defect management.
- Experience with tools such as Jira, SPIRA, or TestRail.
- Preferred experience with SSRS, report development, test automation frameworks, scripting, data warehousing, healthcare or enterprise reporting environments, release management, DevOps practices, performance testing, and database optimization.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
