Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements and produce technical designs and documentation.
- Plan technical work, including task estimation and prioritization.
- Develop readable, maintainable, and performant software and support code reviews.
- Design, implement, and operate AWS cloud solutions and automation tooling.
- Build and maintain infrastructure as code, Docker/Kubernetes environments, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Support cloud security, monitoring, logging, alerting, observability, high availability, backup, and disaster recovery.
- Collaborate with customers, engineers, architects, infrastructure, security, and operations teams.
- Mentor team members and contribute to technical standards and best practices.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and operating AWS solutions.
- At least 4 years of professional software development experience with Python, Java, Go, JavaScript/TypeScript, or another modern programming language.
- Strong Python or scripting skills for automation, cloud operations, API integration, and tooling.
- Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture, microservices, distributed systems, scalability, reliability, and cloud security.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, Lambda, and RDS or DynamoDB.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and preferably Amazon EKS.
- Experience designing CI/CD pipelines and using tools such as Git, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, or similar platforms.
- Strong Linux/Unix fundamentals and experience troubleshooting cloud and production environments.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability in production environments.
- Understanding of high availability, fault tolerance, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery.
- Preferred qualifications include AWS certifications, AWS Organizations, Control Tower, multi-account architecture, AWS Landing Zones, EKS ecosystem tools, Terraform modules and state management, serverless and event-driven architectures, NoSQL databases, observability platforms, cloud migration, DevSecOps, platform engineering, and Azure.
