Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for UI, API, integration, contract, and end-to-end testing.
- Build reusable test libraries, utilities, and automation components using Python, Java, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Develop automated test suites with tools such as Playwright, Selenium, and Cypress.
- Design and execute API, integration, and contract tests for distributed services and multi-tenant SaaS applications.
- Validate error handling, edge cases, authentication, authorization, data consistency, and critical business workflows.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and improve test stability, coverage, reliability, and execution time.
- Identify defects and root causes, participate in code reviews and defect triage, and prevent regressions.
- Test AI-powered features, including LLM-based copilots, agents, and intelligent workflows.
- Apply prompt testing, AI-output validation, regression testing, guardrail testing, and AI evaluation techniques.
- Contribute to performance, load, and reliability testing and collaborate with engineering and product teams on release readiness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- 3–6 years of relevant experience in software development, test automation, or quality engineering within the IT/software industry.
- Strong programming and problem-solving skills in at least one of Python, Java, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining automation frameworks for UI, API, integration, or end-to-end testing.
- Experience with tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, REST Assured, or Postman.
- Understanding of software development fundamentals, object-oriented programming, data structures, debugging, and code quality.
- Experience testing REST APIs, distributed applications, or cloud-based SaaS platforms.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, automated test execution, regression testing, defect management, and root-cause analysis.
- Strong analytical, communication, independent-working, and collaboration skills.
- Preferred experience includes LLMs, Generative AI, AI agents, ML-driven applications, AI-assisted coding and testing tools, prompt testing, RAG-based systems, LLM evaluation frameworks, performance testing, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, or Azure.
