Base Salary

$159k - $295k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Set the long-term technical vision and strategy for the ONESOURCE Income Tax portfolio.
  • Define architecture patterns, engineering standards, and best practices for current and future applications.
  • Guide modernization of legacy enterprise applications and infrastructure on AWS and GCP.
  • Design agentic AI architectures and expand existing Model Context Protocol server capabilities.
  • Lead secure design practices, penetration-test remediation patterns, Snyk standards, SOC audit support, and compliance controls.
  • Lead complex, high-risk initiatives, development reviews, technology selection, and adoption across teams.
  • Represent engineering and negotiate technical solutions with Product, Security, the Product Management Office, program managers, and senior leadership.
  • Present technical strategy to executives, managers, engineers, and developers.
  • Mentor Senior and Lead engineers and strengthen engineering culture across teams.
  • Partner on multiple projects, cross-business initiatives, standards, patents, and innovation opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of software engineering experience, including significant senior, lead, or principal-level technical leadership experience.
  • Strong experience with .NET/C#, Angular, Microsoft SQL Server, and PostgreSQL.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS and GCP for applications and infrastructure.
  • Proven experience designing and evolving large, high-availability enterprise applications and modernizing legacy systems.
  • Strong application-security and secure-software-design experience, including Snyk or similar tools, penetration testing, remediation, and secure coding standards.
  • Familiarity with SOC audits and the engineering controls and evidence required for compliance.
  • Experience setting technical direction, defining standards, and guiding teams through influence without direct management.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with experience working with Product, Security, program management, and senior leadership.
  • Business judgment and the ability to connect technical decisions to customer and business outcomes.
  • Preferred qualifications include software or solutions architecture experience, tax/accounting/finance or another regulated-domain background, agentic AI or LLM experience, MCP server experience, GCP data warehousing and Looker experience, Terraform or CloudFormation experience, external-customer API governance, relevant cloud or security certifications, and industry contributions or mentoring experience.
