Base Salary
$102k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and evolve scalable, reliable, secure, and cost-effective cloud-native platforms and production infrastructure.
- Launch and maintain backend services supporting generative AI agents and orchestration systems.
- Build golden-path reference implementations and CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment workflows.
- Develop Go command-line tools and services that improve developer workflows from local development through production.
- Establish and improve DORA metrics, including deployment frequency and change failure rate.
- Implement platform security practices across multi-cloud infrastructure and CNCF solutions.
- Design monitoring, logging, alerting, and LLM observability solutions.
- Collaborate with AI/ML engineers, frontend developers, product managers, SREs, and other technical stakeholders.
- Mentor team members, influence architecture, document processes, and support a team of 150+ product managers, researchers, and engineers.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in backend development, platform engineering, production engineering, or site reliability engineering.
- Experience developing, deploying, and maintaining backend services and associated client interfaces for product and engineering teams.
- Deep troubleshooting experience with DNS, TCP, IP, and TLS protocols.
- Extensive hands-on experience with cloud-native services, Kubernetes or ECS, container registries, object storage, managed PostgreSQL, serverless functions, networking, IAM, infrastructure-as-code, secrets management, and pub/sub systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: fluency in Go, Python, Rust, or another systems-level language.
- Preferred: experience with Terraform, CUE, AI-driven systems, agent-based architectures, LLM evaluation tools, OpenAI, Anthropic, SOC 2 systems, vector databases, embeddings, or search-based AI.
- Preferred: strong knowledge of infrastructure design, end-to-end testing, automation, middleware, and RPC/REST API design patterns.
