Responsibilities
- Develop reusable memory PHY and Memory Controller architecture models for firmware development and boot-loader verification.
- Develop and debug firmware across simulation, emulation, FPGA, and real-hardware platforms.
- Work with DDR/JEDEC-standard IP, DDR PHY, and Memory Controller firmware.
- Test architecture models and adapt to new toolsets and frameworks.
- Perform simulation, laboratory bring-up, and firmware issue debugging using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and related equipment.
Requirements
- Excellent knowledge of C++, C, and a scripting language.
- Experience developing and debugging firmware in pre-silicon and post-silicon environments.
- Experience with DDR/JEDEC-standard IP, DDR PHY, or Memory Controller firmware development.
- Strong understanding of computer organization and architecture.
- Preferred: knowledge of SystemC, Verilog, and Python.
- Preferred: VCS simulation and debug experience.
- Preferred: strong understanding of memory controllers, PHYs, DRAM protocols, and JEDEC standards.
- Preferred: laboratory experience with oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with relevant experience, or a master’s or PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering with relevant experience.
