Responsibilities
- Design and develop the software stack for a deep learning accelerator.
- Develop compiler passes for graph ingestion, optimization, and partitioning.
- Build backend code-generation capabilities across heterogeneous platforms.
- Profile, analyze, and optimize system-level performance and develop tooling as needed.
- Participate in design reviews, API development, and documentation.
- Collaborate with hardware, software, applied science, and product teams to onboard user experiences powered by the deep learning accelerator.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers.
- Contribute across pre-silicon, post-silicon, hardware validation, and consumer-device productization.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 3 years of programming in a modern language such as Java, C++, or C#, including object-oriented design experience.
- Experience developing and deploying LLMs in production on GPUs, Neuron, TPU, or other AI acceleration hardware.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Preferred: experience in embedded development using C/C++.
- Preferred: knowledge of system performance, memory management, and parallel computing principles.
- Preferred: experience building compilers for application-specific accelerators or custom instruction sets.
