Responsibilities
- Build and integrate AI-powered agents into HR and financial workflows.
- Apply the AI system lifecycle from problem definition and data acquisition through model training, integration, validation, and production evaluation.
- Implement AI tools, frameworks, and platforms for scalable, efficient, and compliant solutions.
- Develop services that host machine learning models in production using cloud computing platforms.
- Contribute to agent workflow orchestration, monitoring, feedback loops, and continuous learning mechanisms.
- Collaborate with software engineering, machine learning, data science, product, external vendor, cloud provider, and open-source teams.
- Provide technical leadership and help lead, mentor, or manage ML engineering teams.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience building applied machine learning products at scale across research, design, implementation, production, and production-based evaluation.
- At least 2 years of professional experience with Python, Java, C++, or similar programming languages and supporting numeric libraries, including production code and models.
- At least 1 year of professional experience with machine learning and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Hugging Face.
- At least 1 year of experience building production-scale machine learning model-hosting services with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
- At least 1 year of experience with large language models, text generation models, or graph neural network models in real-world applications.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics, or equivalent; a master’s degree or PhD is preferred.
- Deep understanding of statistical analysis, supervised and unsupervised learning, natural language processing, and information retrieval or recommendation use cases.
- Experience independently solving ambiguous problems, technically leading teams, and leading, mentoring, or managing ML engineering teams.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to build relationships across teams and stakeholders.
Benefits
- Annual base salary of $100,000-$150,000 CAD for the primary Vancouver, Canada location and additional Canadian locations, with possible bonus and annual refresh stock grants.
