Responsibilities

  • Develop application software and firmware for embedded controllers and microprocessors/microcontrollers.
  • Design control algorithms, communication interfaces, and system interfaces for new products.
  • Create, modify, and maintain firmware/software modules and supporting design documentation.
  • Develop, conduct, and evaluate firmware and hardware test specifications in laboratory and real-product environments.
  • Support product development, design reviews, troubleshooting, simulation, manufacturability, and design-for-test activities.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to define interfaces and algorithms for generators, power tools, engines, transfer switches, and alternators.
  • Support product development plans, schedules, costs, and design inputs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a directly related engineering degree.
  • Two years of experience with embedded programming using C, C++, or C#.
  • Ability to perform detail-oriented work accurately and apply basic engineering principles.
  • Ability to solve basic engineering problems and make sound decisions.
  • Basic knowledge of communication protocols and hardware interfaces.
  • Exposure to or willingness to adopt AI-assisted development tools is preferred.
  • Must be able to work in the Waukesha, Wisconsin office and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
