Responsibilities
- Build and own full-stack production systems that turn satellite intelligence into operational decisions.
- Design stateful multi-agent workflows and geospatial RAG systems for distributed and resource-constrained environments.
- Optimize spatial data indexing, query performance, and high-concurrency analysis over large satellite datasets.
- Develop reliable, observable, and scalable services, APIs, and data flows across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Build modern web interfaces and robust backend systems using Python and typed programming languages.
- Integrate AI into mission workflows and use AI-native engineering tools in daily development.
- Deploy and operate software in Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, secure, isolated, and air-gapped environments.
- Collaborate effectively in English and Portuguese and potentially progress toward customer-embedded Forward Deployed Engineering work.
Requirements
- 2–7 years of professional software engineering experience shipping production systems end to end.
- Degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Strong backend development with Python and a typed language such as Go, TypeScript, or Rust.
- Experience building modern web frontends, such as with React and TypeScript.
- Strong systems architecture skills covering reliable, observable, and scalable services, APIs, and data flows.
- Experience with database design, data modeling, relational or spatial databases, and SQL optimization.
- Fluency building with LLMs, RAG, AI-powered workflows, and AI-native engineering tools.
- Understanding of networking protocols, latency, and data movement across networks.
- Hands-on experience with Linux and Docker, plus familiarity with Kubernetes, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code.
- Excellent written and spoken English and C2 or near-native Portuguese proficiency.
- Eligibility and ability to attain relevant national and NATO security clearances.
- Preferred experience with geospatial data, satellite imagery, or remote sensing technologies.
- Preferred experience with observability, event-driven systems, authentication standards, local model inference optimization, secure or air-gapped deployments, defence or intelligence environments, and signal/RF, embedded, or edge-to-cloud systems.
