Senior Applied AI Engineer
Renesas ElectronicsResponsibilities
- Develop agentic AI flows for hardware design and requirements-management use cases using off-the-shelf LLMs.
- Build evaluation pipelines, metrics, benchmarks, and test suites for AI-driven systems.
- Benchmark and optimize models, prompts, and approaches for speed, cost, latency, and accuracy.
- Participate in the full AI product lifecycle from experimentation through deployment and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, and designers to ship customer-facing features.
Requirements
- Profound knowledge of production LLM engineering and evaluation of LLM-based features.
- Advanced Python development skills.
- Production experience with agentic loops, tool-calling, agent orchestration, MCP servers, evaluation and benchmarking pipelines, and cost and latency optimization.
- Ability to plan experiments and execute tasks autonomously with attention to detail.
- Experience working in multidisciplinary teams to deliver customer-facing features.
- Preferred experience with synthetic test data, distillation, agent-orchestration debugging, model fine-tuning, hardware engineering software, end-to-end agentic-loop harnesses, high-concurrency asynchronous services, and stateful frameworks such as LangGraph.
