Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deliver small to medium-sized software features within sprint timelines.
- Build backend services, APIs, and system integrations for lending, credit, authentication, and partner-facing capabilities.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code aligned with team standards.
- Collaborate with software engineers, quality teams, business systems analysts, a Product Owner, and a Scrum Master within a cross-functional POD.
- Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, design reviews, and code reviews.
- Own assigned work from design through production and communicate progress, risks, and dependencies.
- Debug and resolve issues using logs, metrics, and systematic root-cause analysis.
- Contribute to improvements in code, engineering processes, documentation, and team knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience delivering software features using modern programming languages such as Java, Python, or similar.
- Working knowledge of APIs, microservices, or distributed systems.
- Experience with version control, CI/CD pipelines, and debugging tools.
- Ability to work independently on assigned features while collaborating effectively with a team.
- Strong communication skills for explaining technical concepts, trade-offs, and progress.
- Preferred: familiarity with Golang, cloud platforms, container-based architectures, test automation, quality engineering, external-system integrations, and application security, performance, and scalability considerations.
- Preferred: experience working in Agile delivery teams.

- Base salary range of $69,700–$98,400 CAD, with compensation varying by skills, experience, location, and organizational needs.
