Base Salary
$209k - $239k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Design and implement large-scale, distributed, and cloud-native systems with high reliability and performance requirements.
- Provide technical leadership across multiple teams and shape system architecture and long-term technology direction.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and product leaders to deliver cloud-based solutions and define platform roadmaps and shared-services strategy.
- Use Java, Scala, Python, Go, Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS tools and services.
- Mentor engineers, contribute to technology communities, and drive professional development and technical standards.
- Lead architectural design reviews, establish coding standards and design patterns, and implement observability and reliability practices at scale.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 6 years of software engineering experience, excluding internship experience.
- At least 3 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Preferred 9 or more years of coding experience with more than two listed programming languages.
- Preferred experience with open source frameworks, front-end JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks, synchronous and asynchronous APIs, databases, cloud technologies, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing, and Git-based version control.
- Experience mentoring senior engineers, influencing technology strategy, leading cross-functional engineering efforts, and driving large-scale technical initiatives.
- Experience with observability, distributed-system performance optimization, architectural design reviews, coding standards, reliability practices, and modern AI-based coding tools.
