Responsibilities
- Design and develop secure, scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems using cloud computing technologies.
- Drive the software development lifecycle and manage complex projects from inception to delivery.
- Develop technical designs, architectural approaches, strategies, and roadmaps with engineering and cross-functional partners.
- Establish software development, documentation, and code-quality best practices.
- Manage feature prioritization, stakeholder communication, project planning, and commitment tracking.
- Support production operations through monitoring, debugging, operational excellence, and on-call participation.
- Mentor engineers, interview candidates, contribute fixes across codebases, and lead technical workshops.
Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
- 5+ years of experience leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or engineering team lead.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Preferred: 5+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
