Responsibilities
- Develop MES software for lens manufacturing.
- Implement system functions, controls, algorithms, and unit tests.
- Transfer an existing MES solution to a hybrid-cloud microservice environment.
- Deploy new or changed software versions into edge environments.
- Diagnose issues across running services using MSSQL, MongoDB, Kafka, and Docker.
- Create and maintain training materials and documentation for owned services.
- Report and resolve software bugs and issues through code changes.
Requirements
- A completed degree in computer science or business informatics, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 5 years of software development experience.
- Advanced programming experience in Java.
- Knowledge of Linux and modern IDEs such as IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse, or Visual Studio.
- Very good written and spoken English, teamwork skills, and a customer- and service-oriented approach.
- Experience working in international teams.
- Basic knowledge of Git and HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
- Experience with enterprise software development and Quarkus or Java Spring.
- Preferred experience with Azure DevOps, distributed systems, microservice architectures, MongoDB, and Kafka.
- Bonus experience with React, Angular, MES systems, or frontend development in React.
- German language skills are a plus.
