QA Automation Engineer
BitdefenderResponsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test cases for SOAR platform features, APIs, and integrations.
- Contribute to SOAR workflows, automations, and platform components using Python.
- Execute automated and manual tests covering functionality, performance, and reliability.
- Create and maintain test plans, test scenarios, and testing documentation.
- Identify, document, and track defects while collaborating with developers on resolution.
- Support integration of automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to define requirements and test coverage.
- Troubleshoot issues found during testing and validation.
- Contribute to technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge sharing.
- Improve test coverage, automation practices, and overall product quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Basic knowledge of software development principles and object-oriented programming.
- Experience with or strong academic knowledge of Python or Java.
- Understanding of functional, regression, integration, and API testing concepts.
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and tools.
- Knowledge of Git and version control practices.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Experience with PyTest, Playwright, Selenium, or similar tools is preferred.
- Familiarity with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps is preferred.
- Exposure to SOAR, SIEM, cybersecurity technologies, SOC operations, incident response, security best practices, or LLM integration is preferred.
