Responsibilities
- Participate in multiple six-month rotations across expert engineering teams over a two-year rotational development program.
- Contribute to software and hardware solutions that support telecommunications, networking, data center, aviation, and other critical communication systems.
- Apply programming, operating system, networking, and quality-focused engineering skills to develop solutions.
- Collaborate with Agile teams and leadership on designs, project progress, issue resolution, and product quality.
- Continue your career with a designated VIAVI team after completing the structured program.
Requirements
- Master's degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent technical discipline.
- Basic programming knowledge, with Python scripting preferred.
- Knowledge of Windows or Linux operating systems.
- Exposure to or interest in networking protocols including TCP/IP, 802.11, and Bluetooth.
- Engineering-related experience outside the classroom, such as an internship, co-op, hackathon, research project, or related experience.
- Interest in cybersecurity.
- Strong time management, collaboration, communication, adaptability, and ability to learn new technologies, tools, methods, and processes.
- Willingness and ability to work on temporary assignments in another country or location.
