Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, implement, maintain, and support Java-based enterprise applications using the Java EE platform.
  • Manage software development lifecycle activities and collaborate with business analysts, architects, and cross-functional teams.
  • Develop web services and APIs, write clean and testable code, conduct unit and integration testing, and participate in code reviews.
  • Optimize applications for high-volume, low-latency performance and scalability.
  • Debug applications, identify bottlenecks, troubleshoot production issues, and provide timely resolutions.
  • Document technical designs and specifications and research and present new technologies and alternatives.

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in Java and in-depth understanding of Java/JEE internals, including classloading, memory management, and transaction management.
  • Hands-on experience with MVC frameworks and ORM technologies, with willingness to learn new frameworks and tools.
  • Experience with web services and API development.
  • Knowledge of relational databases and proficiency in SQL.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, version control systems, and build tools such as Ant.
  • Experience with Fair Isaac’s Blaze Advisor rule engine is preferred.
  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field plus four years of relevant experience, or a bachelor’s degree plus eight years of relevant experience, or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • Relevant experience may include datacenter engineering and operations, cloud engineering and operations, or complex IT infrastructure engineering.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaborative teamwork skills.
