Base Salary

$149k - $257k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, monitor, and continuously improve high-quality software solutions.
  • Build scalable, maintainable, and reusable components, frameworks, patterns, and tooling for multiple delivery teams.
  • Translate product concepts and business objectives into technical designs and incremental deliverables.
  • Establish, document, and advocate for technical standards, design patterns, and engineering best practices.
  • Lead or participate in technical design sessions, spike investigations, and architecture reviews.
  • Conduct code reviews, promote quality standards, and mentor engineers through constructive feedback.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues across distributed architectures and drive sustainable fixes.
  • Promote automation, observability, testing, security-first design, and continuous improvement.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, frameworks, and vendor solutions and advise on their potential value.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related technical field; advanced degrees are preferred.
  • At least 7 years of hands-on software engineering experience building production-grade applications.
  • Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, .NET Core, or similar programming languages and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Deep understanding of automated testing, CI/CD, code quality, observability, DevOps practices, and iterative delivery.
  • Experience with at least three areas including CI/CD platforms, RESTful APIs or GraphQL, serverless architectures, containerization and orchestration, infrastructure as code, public cloud platforms, observability tooling, or event-driven and streaming architectures.
  • Experience building and supporting componentized, microservices, or distributed applications.
  • Knowledge of software architecture principles, design patterns, and engineering best practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for explaining complex technical concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Exposure to AI-enabled development tools, code-generation models, or ML-driven insights such as Copilot, embedding models, or vector search.
  • Ability to mentor engineers, influence engineering practices, and collaborate across globally distributed teams.
