Base Salary
$149k - $201k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop tools that streamline operations, reduce operational load, and improve operational excellence.
- Maintain operational health, fleet health, reliability, security, and uptime for globally scaled services.
- Improve test infrastructure and automate CI/CD systems to make them more robust and flexible.
- Maintain build and release systems and enable developers to ship code efficiently.
- Investigate and recommend practices for code quality, system reliability, scalability, and durability.
- Mentor junior engineers and create documentation that helps teams use systems and tools effectively.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 1 year of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- At least 7 years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems, and hands-on systems engineering.
- Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals, including networking, storage, and operating systems.
- Experience programming in at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby.
- Preferred experience with PowerShell, Python, Ruby, or Java.
- Preferred experience working in an Agile environment using Scrum methodology.
