Base Salary
$149k - $201k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop tools to streamline operations, reduce operational load, and improve operational excellence.
- Maintain operational health, fleet health, reliability, availability, scalability, and durability of the service.
- Improve test infrastructure and make CI/CD systems more robust and flexible.
- Maintain build and release systems and help developers ship code effectively.
- Investigate and recommend practices for code quality, security, and service reliability.
- Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge through documentation and collaboration.
Requirements
- 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 1+ years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- 7+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems, and hands-on systems engineering.
- Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals, including networking, storage, and operating systems.
- Programming experience in at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby.
- Preferred experience with PowerShell, Python, Ruby, or Java.
- Preferred experience working in an Agile environment using the Scrum methodology.
