Responsibilities
- Build and develop backend services for Skillz’s mobile eSports and gaming platform.
- Work with distributed, multi-tiered systems, caching mechanisms, and relational databases.
- Use cloud platforms and Kubernetes or similar container technologies to support scalable services.
- Collaborate on products and services that enable mobile gaming tournaments and real-money activity.
Requirements
- 12+ years of professional experience with Golang/Go and/or Java.
- Proficiency with cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes or similar container technologies.
- Strong experience with distributed, multi-tiered systems, caching mechanisms, and relational databases.
- Experience in the gaming industry is preferred, or demonstrated passion for building services for games.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a technical field, or equivalent industry experience.
- Ability to work in the Bangalore office three days per week.
