Responsibilities

  • Own automation architecture and evolution for assigned epics across web and mobile trading products.
  • Design, implement, and maintain Playwright web suites and Maestro mobile flows with reusable fixtures, parallel execution, and low flake.
  • Integrate automated testing into pull-request and trunk workflows using GitHub Actions.
  • Define test scope, environments, test data, device and browser matrices, and integration points for authentication, pricing, and orders.
  • Partner with engineering, Product, and Design teams on testability, automation-friendly acceptance criteria, test IDs, hooks, and build flavours.
  • Coordinate automation boundaries and sign-off scope with Senior Manual QA and Lead QA.
  • Provide targeted manual testing on critical paths when automation cannot cover sprint risk in time.
  • Monitor and communicate pass/fail results, automation coverage, known gaps, flake rate, and residual risk for sprint and release decisions.
  • Triage, fix, or quarantine flaky tests and drive tooling improvements after releases and retrospectives.
  • Support other QA engineers through templates, reviews, and practical guardrails.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software testing or quality engineering, with significant depth in test automation.
  • Experience with Playwright, Maestro, or equivalent modern automation stacks.
  • Proven experience testing mobile clients on iOS and Android and web trading user interfaces across device, operating-system, and browser matrices.
  • Experience with maintainable test code, flake triage, CI integration, reusable fixtures, test data, and environment management.
  • Ability to own epic-level automation planning in a two-week Scrum cycle and clearly report quality and residual risk.
  • Experience partnering with Product and Design on testable acceptance criteria and with manual QA on scope boundaries.
  • English proficiency sufficient for documentation, stand-ups, and escalation.
  • Experience in trading, CFD-style applications, regulated fintech, or remote/distributed squads is advantageous.
  • Willingness to adopt squad tools and improve automation and testing processes through retrospectives.
