Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python test automation frameworks and test suites for backend services and data pipelines.
- Perform functional, integration, performance, API, backend, and data-feed testing.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute production releases with a focus on zero downtime and quality.
- Identify software development lifecycle bottlenecks and automate routine QA processes, including CI/CD test integration.
- Analyze application logs, system metrics, and data anomalies to troubleshoot and diagnose complex issues.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and data engineers to clarify requirements, refine user stories, and track issues.
- Research complex data discrepancies and data-quality issues.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of QA experience with a strong focus on backend testing, test design, and left-shift testing.
- Strong Python programming skills and experience with test automation frameworks such as PyTest.
- Strong SQL knowledge and experience validating data integrity and processing across databases.
- Proficiency testing REST and gRPC APIs with automation tools, curl, and Postman.
- Comfort working in Linux or Unix environments with command-line tools and basic shell scripting.
- Experience using application logs and monitoring or metrics tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Zabbix, or ELK.
- Experience using AI assistants such as GitHub Copilot or ChatGPT for test generation and code analysis.
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to quality.
- Finance or trading-domain experience, familiarity with TradingView, deep experience with ETL or big-data validation, AWS experience, and familiarity with GitLab CI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions are preferred.
