Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of 5G features in the CU domain of a RAN product.
- Develop and maintain CU protocol stack components.
- Participate in feature planning, design analysis, coding, and system-level debugging.
- Lead technical discussions, task forces, and design workshops while mentoring junior engineers.
- Conduct code reviews and design validation to ensure software quality.
- Design and implement SA, NSA, EN-DC, and CA features.
- Script test cases using test tools and simulators.
- Author design documents and groom Scrum user stories and backlog items.
- Analyze customer issues using development and Wireshark logs.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience developing and designing RAN products or CU features.
- Hands-on experience with one or more of RRC, RRM, OAM, PDCP, NG-AP, X2AP, XnAP, F1AP, YANG, and NETCONF models.
- Knowledge of RAN, O-RAN, disaggregated RAN architecture, CU software, CU OAM, and virtualization technologies.
- Strong understanding of 3GPP specifications and O-RAN interfaces.
- Experience with data path design and implementation and with SA, NSA, EN-DC, and CA features.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and software design and development.
- Experience with test tools, simulators, scripting, log analysis, technical documentation, requirements management, and customer issue analysis.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, coordination, and mentoring skills.
- B.Tech. or M.Tech. in computer science, electronics and communication, or an allied stream.
