Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and maintain complex engine systems aligned with technical roadmaps.
- Define and manage per-system frame budgets and performance metrics for cross-functional teams.
- Develop, integrate, and scale foundational systems within Unreal Engine for networked games.
- Deliver performant implementations within strict memory and system constraints.
- Implement data-driven systems for live-service updates, asset streaming, patching, and live-data synchronization.
- Partner with leadership on performance standards and long-term technical roadmaps.
- Profile, optimize, and debug performance bottlenecks in Unreal Engine and client/server multiplayer games.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience with C++ and its best practices and architectural considerations.
- 5+ years of experience with Unreal Engine architecture, including core systems, performance management, memory optimization, multithreading, or job strategies.
- Experience with parallel programming, resource management, and multiprocessor hardware architecture.
- Advanced experience profiling, optimizing, and debugging Unreal Engine performance bottlenecks and memory management.
- Proficiency integrating and maintaining large-scale systems across multiple domains.
- Advanced debugging skills applicable to client/server multiplayer games.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for explaining technical and architectural decisions to engineers and leadership.
