Responsibilities
- Build and maintain backend services, APIs, data pipelines, and frontend interfaces.
- Evolve metadata matching using ML-assisted approaches for better integration with Spotify's catalog.
- Lead infrastructure modernization to enhance scalability and reliability.
- Take end-to-end ownership of system design, development, and performance.
- Incorporate AI tooling into engineering practices for improved productivity.
Requirements
- Strong experience in building production software across backend, frontend, data systems, or infrastructure.
- Proficiency in Python (preferably with Django) and Java.
- Production experience with PostgreSQL, including schema design and query tuning.
- Familiarity with modern web technologies like TypeScript and React.
- Comfortable with Linux, GCP, and networking fundamentals.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous situations and take ownership of projects.
- Practical experience with AI for automation and data quality improvements.
- Commitment to writing clean, testable code and maintaining documentation.
