Responsibilities
- Own and continuously improve Polymarket's AWS security posture across accounts, regions, and services.
- Review and contribute to infrastructure as code modules that encode security defaults.
- Integrate automated security checks into the deployment pipeline.
- Manage cloud-side security telemetry including CloudTrail and GuardDuty.
- Develop detection logic for cloud-specific threats and partner with the SOC team.
- Govern secrets management using AWS Secrets Manager and SSM Parameter Store.
- Drive remediation of findings from AWS Inspector and Security Hub.
- Support audit and compliance activities and conduct regular access reviews.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in cloud security or a security-focused infrastructure role.
- Deep expertise with AWS security services such as IAM, GuardDuty, and Security Hub.
- Hands-on experience writing infrastructure as code with a security-first mindset.
- Strong understanding of AWS networking and attack surface misconfigurations.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language for automation.
- Ability to evaluate architectural decisions for security risk.
- Familiarity with Pulumi and TypeScript-based stacks is a plus.
- Experience with Web3 or blockchain infrastructure is a plus.
- Experience securing containerized workloads on ECS or EKS is a plus.
- AWS certifications such as Security Specialty or Solutions Architect — Professional are a plus.
- Exposure to SOC 2 Type II or PCI-DSS cloud control requirements is a plus.
