Responsibilities
- Provide expert technical guidance on embedded software architecture, engine-control algorithm development, implementation, software/hardware integration, debugging, and verification.
- Guide software development in accordance with ARP4754 and DO-178C certification processes, primarily at Design Assurance Level A.
- Provide technical oversight and approval for internal and external design reviews.
- Drive safety assessments and closure of Product Condition Report safety issues with Product Integrity.
- Review and approve cybersecurity design requirements and implementation considerations.
- Represent Honeywell technically with internal stakeholders, customers, and regulatory authorities.
- Optimize, update, and create software processes as needed.
- Support technology roadmaps, strategic product technologies, process development, risk identification, and mitigation.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Software, Electrical, Aerospace, or Computer Science Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Extensive experience designing, developing, qualifying, and resolving field issues for embedded software products in the relevant domain.
- Proven technical leadership and innovation experience.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and product development processes.
- Experience with relevant engineering technologies and tools.
