Base Salary
$143k - $201k/yr
Responsibilities
- Set the technical vision and architecture strategy for the squad’s portfolio of applications.
- Lead the architecture, design, development, and delivery of complex full-stack and backend applications and shared platform capabilities.
- Establish reusable patterns, frameworks, components, engineering standards, and best practices across teams.
- Mentor engineers, review code and technical designs, and raise engineering quality.
- Own testing, CI/CD, observability, production support, incident triage, root cause analysis, and defect resolution strategies.
- Lead impact analysis and technical solutioning for complex, systemic, ambiguous, and high-risk changes.
- Author and maintain architecture documentation, technical specifications, and production support artifacts.
- Define and lead the integration strategy for AI-powered features across product lines.
- Partner with product owners, business leaders, architects, and engineering leadership on technical strategy, prioritization, governance, and roadmaps.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline.
- Minimum 8+ years of full-stack engineering experience, including experience as a technical lead or principal engineer.
- Deep expertise in object-oriented design patterns, architectural patterns, and distributed systems principles.
- Advanced proficiency with TypeScript, React, Node.js, AWS Lambda, AWS S3, SQL, Spring Boot, and GitHub Actions.
- Experience with GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted development products, such as Claude Code, including driving adoption across teams.
- Proven experience architecting, delivering, and supporting multiple complex, large-scale production applications.
- Expert knowledge of IT concepts, strategies, and methodologies with the ability to set technical direction across teams.
- Experience providing technical leadership, mentoring engineers, and driving adoption of engineering best practices.
- Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum and with scaling engineering practices.
- Expertise designing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines, tooling, testing frameworks, strategies, and best practices.
- Strong stakeholder influence, analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, ownership, collaboration, prioritization, and adaptability skills.
- Preferred experience with AI/ML concepts, LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, or AWS Bedrock, RAG patterns, vector databases, embedding models, AI orchestration frameworks, prompt engineering, responsible AI, and AI-powered APIs or microservices.
