Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable, secure, reliable, high-quality, and modular solutions for Azure Data services.
- Improve test coverage, implement integration tests, and resolve issues affecting service reliability and maintainability.
- Automate production and deployment processes and validate code in non-production environments.
- Meet security, privacy, safety, accessibility, and product-compliance standards.
- Integrate telemetry and data analytics to monitor system health and guide product and engineering decisions.
- Maintain live service operations, respond to incidents, troubleshoot complex issues, and share postmortem insights.
- Collaborate across teams and contribute to a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 2+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
- Coding experience in one or more of C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Active U.S. Government Top Secret Clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information based on an SSBI with Polygraph.
- Ability to satisfy Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements before an offer and after hire.
- U.S. citizenship verification is required due to citizenship-based legal restrictions.
- Preferred qualifications include a degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, or an IT technical discipline.
- Preferred experience includes coordinating resources across diverse teams to restore service and maintain SLAs; ITIL certification is preferred.
- Preferred technical capabilities include analyzing network and performance traces, Windows application and crash dumps, and distributed-service dependencies across networking, caching, queuing, load balancing, storage, and distributed-service layers.
- Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, customer focus, initiative, and resourcefulness are preferred.
