Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable, secure, reliable, modular solutions for Azure Data services.
- Improve test coverage, implement integration tests, and resolve issues affecting service reliability and maintainability.
- Automate production and deployment processes and validate code in non-production environments.
- Meet security, privacy, safety, accessibility, and product compliance standards.
- Integrate telemetry and data analytics to monitor system health and guide engineering decisions.
- Maintain live service operations, respond to incidents, troubleshoot complex issues, and share postmortem insights.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 2+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
- Coding experience in one or more of C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Active U.S. Government Top Secret Clearance with SCI access based on an SSBI with Polygraph, with ability to satisfy required screening conditions.
- Ability to verify the required security clearance and U.S. citizenship.
- Ability to coordinate resources across teams to restore service and maintain SLAs; ITIL certification is preferred.
- Ability to analyze network and performance-monitor traces, application performance issues, and Windows application crash dumps.
- Ability to understand distributed services, dependencies, transactional flows, and network, application, caching, queuing, load-balancing, storage, and distributed-service layers.
- Strong collaboration, communication, problem-solving, customer focus, integrity, initiative, and resourcefulness.
Benefits
- The typical U.S. base pay range is USD $102,100-$202,200 per year, with a separate San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area range of USD $133,800-$219,200 per year.
- Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
- The position is open for a minimum of 5 days and accepts applications on an ongoing basis until filled.
