Responsibilities
- Lead complex cross-team initiatives through design, implementation, launch, and operational ownership.
- Drive and implement native iOS and Android initiatives in shared consumer-facing applications.
- Design and evolve server-driven UI using configurable, component-based views.
- Establish engineering standards across architecture, testing, release processes, observability, and incident management.
- Address scalability, performance, and reliability needs across mobile applications.
- Champion AI-enabled engineering tools and practices while maintaining quality standards.
- Communicate technical decisions, estimates, timelines, and trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Mentor engineers, including those transitioning into mobile, and promote engineering best practices.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in mobile development, particularly the iOS ecosystem.
- Experience with mobile performance optimization, observability, modularity, SDK design, server-driven UI, CI/CD, and App Store processes.
- Experience operating at Staff Engineer level or equivalent scope and leading cross-team or cross-organization initiatives.
- Track record working on large-scale native consumer B2C applications, preferably in environments with ownership split across multiple teams.
- Ability to influence stakeholders, provide technical leadership, navigate ambiguity, and drive execution.
- Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to a culture of continuous learning.
- Practical experience using AI as part of an engineering toolkit, with sound judgment around validation and output quality.
- Familiarity with Android in addition to iOS is a plus.
