Responsibilities
- Own varied technical challenges in the Search Intelligence stack.
- Collaborate with senior engineers, AI/ML researchers, and Product Managers to translate innovations into technical designs and implementations.
- Drive technical design decisions and contribute to technical best practices.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.
- Ensure the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of Search Intelligence features at Google's massive scale.
- Address the unique needs of the Indian market and solve complex Search problems with increasing ambiguity.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development.
- 5 years of experience with ML design and ML infrastructure, including areas such as model deployment, model evaluation, data processing, debugging, and fine-tuning.
- 5 years of experience with speech/audio, reinforcement learning, ML infrastructure, or another ML specialization.
- 5 years of experience testing and launching software products and 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
- Experience integrating generative AI tools or LLM interfaces into workflows.
- Preferred: Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Preferred: experience building or leveraging agentic frameworks and LLM-powered automation.
- Preferred: experience building classifiers and working with machine learning, artificial intelligence, ranking, and research.
