Responsibilities
- Own the overarching Salesforce technical architecture, governance, development standards, design patterns, branching strategies, and CI/CD maturity models.
- Establish platform guardrails for governor limits, data storage, security, performance, and technical debt across Salesforce clouds.
- Architect end-to-end Sales Cloud and Service Cloud solutions involving complex workflows, large data volumes, Service Console, and CTI integrations.
- Lead the architectural direction and security model for Experience Cloud portals using Lightning Web Runtime.
- Own Salesforce Billing and CPQ quote-to-cash architecture, including pricing, billing rules, invoicing, revenue recognition, and financial close processes.
- Own synchronization between Salesforce Billing and Sage Intacct or other ERP general-ledger systems, including reconciliation and error recovery.
- Design decoupled enterprise integrations using MuleSoft, Platform Events, Pub/Sub API, REST, SOAP, and secure authentication patterns.
- Govern integrations for contract lifecycle management and document automation tools such as DocuSign and Conga.
- Serve as the technical escalation point for complex Salesforce, integration, and billing issues.
- Mentor developers and administrators and lead technical design reviews and architecture review boards.
- Partner with product managers, enterprise architects, Finance, Revenue Operations, and executive leadership to translate business strategy into scalable technical solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 8 years of dedicated Salesforce development and architecture experience.
- Experience architecting enterprise-scale deployments across Sales, Service, Experience, and Salesforce Billing environments.
- Experience mentoring and informally leading technical teams, delivering scalable solutions, and remediating technical debt.
- Expertise in Apex, advanced Lightning Web Components architecture, SOQL/SOSL, asynchronous processing, and declarative versus programmatic Salesforce solutions.
- Advanced knowledge of Salesforce Billing, CPQ, ledger impacts, payment gateways, and ERP integrations.
- Advanced proficiency with middleware, enterprise integration patterns, OAuth, and streaming APIs.
- Hands-on experience establishing or managing CI/CD pipelines using Copado, Salto, Gearset, or Jenkins with Git-based source-driven development.
- Expert understanding of Salesforce sharing architecture, sensitive-data protection, encryption, and Large Data Volumes.
- Preferred certifications include Salesforce Certified Application Architect, System Architect, Platform Developer II, B2B Solution Architect, Billing Specialist, CPQ Specialist, and Experience Cloud Consultant.
- Strong architectural judgment, problem-solving, executive communication, consensus-building, and mentoring abilities.
